Talk:Canada's Hundred Days
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This comparison of the victory of the Canadians to that of the Americans at the end of the war is misleading. The Americans were attacking at a vital spot in the line, defeat there would split the Germans rail lines making supplying the front further west very difficult. The Germans were retreating from Belgium and Northern France because they were over-extended and knew that defeating the Allies with the Americans directly involved was not possible.Mapguyjeff 02:14, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 46 Divisons, or 49?

"Canada defeated 49 divisions wikipedia"
Can someone check if this is correct? I don't have the time to do so just yet. --Bowlhover (talk) 16:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
I have two sources who list the number of German Division defeated as 47. Perhaps furthur research is needed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.122.200.183 (talk) 23:31, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
