Canal Walk, Swindon. This pedestrianised street bisects the Brunel shopping centre. It is built over the former Wilts and Berks Canal, which ran through this part of Swindon until abandonment in the early part of the 20th century. The landmark structure at the rear is the 'David John Murray Building'- named after a local politician (see History of government in Swindon
