Canton Township is one of twenty-three townships in Benton County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 847.

Canton Township covers an area of 35.4 square miles and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains three cemeteries: Oakwood, Parkers Grove and Shellsburg.
