Canton Middle School (CMS) is located in Canton, Haywood County, North Carolina. Before CMS became a middle school it was a high school called Canton High School. Canton Middle School mascot is a bear and the CMS school colours are red and black. Canton Middle Schools sports include football, cheerleading, basketball, softball, track, baseball, cross country, volleyball, soccer and golf.

In April 2007, Canton Middle School was awarded an IMPACT Model School grant. This grant will enable the school to implement all 8 components of the IMPACT Guidelines for Media and Technology Programs.
