Canton Local School District

Canton Local School District is a school district south of Canton, Ohio. It is a public school district for the students living in the area of Canton Township and Pike Township. The area is commonly referred to as "Canton South".

The school district is made up of one high school (Canton South High School), one middle school, and three elementary schools. The four school buildings in the area are; Canton South High School, Faircrest Memorial Middle School, Amos McDannel Elementary, Prairie College Elementary, and Walker Elementary (Once the Canton Township Middle School). Also it had three other schools at one time, which were Waco Elementary, Trump Elementary and North Industry Elementary. Waco Elementary was later sold to a bordering district, and Trump Elementary and North Industry Elementary was shut down and then replaced with the middle school being converted from Walker Middle School to Walker Elementary, Faircrest Junior High becoming Faircrest Middle School and Canton South gaining 9th grade.
