"Cannibal" is a song by industrial metal band Static-X and the first single from their album with the same title. It features John 5 (Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson) as a guest guitarist on the track, most notably for a sterling guitar solo. This is also the first time Static-X have released a single for the title song. Cannibal was released on iTunes as the album's first online single.
When commenting on the song Wayne Static said - "With ‘Cannibal,’ I was thinking of how, when I see people eating these big pieces of meat, it’s really disgusting to me. It’s like they could be cannibals; that you could give somebody a piece of a human and they’d eat it and not know the difference. So, with that basic idea in mind, I was able to write the song around it."[1]
A video for the song appeared on iTunes. However, the video on iTunes has been denied as the real one, according to Wayne Static speaking on the band's forum. [2] Recently, Reprise Records have released a video for the song on youtube.[citation needed]
[edit] Music Video
The video for the song featured a live performance by the band with the album version playing over it.
