Canillas de Aceituno is a small village, located at the foot of the "La Maroma" mountains in Spain.

The Village's name comes from the Latin "Cannillae" (the zone of cane plantations) and the Arab word "Azeytuni" (woven and dyed silks.)

The municipal term of Canillas de Aceituno has an extension of 42km2. The population center is located to an altitude of 645 ms, the annual average temperature of 17 °C. And a population of 2300 inhabitants.
