Canegrate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 20 km northwest of Milan. Translated into English, Canegrate literally means Dog Cage. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 12,059 and an area of 5.3 km².[1]
Canegrate borders the following municipalities: Legnano, San Vittore Olona, San Giorgio su Legnano, Parabiago, Busto Garolfo.
