Candlewick Press, established in 1991 and located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the American division of the English publisher Walker Books Ltd.. The logo (which was also the original logo of the parent company Walker Books) is a bear carrying a candle.

Candlewick Press is America's fastest growing independent publisher of children's books^[1], thanks to publications such as a series known as the 'Ologies (Dragonology, Egyptology, Wizardology, Mythology and Pirateology); Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart's Encyclopedia Prehistorica pop-up books; the "Judy Moody" franchise from author Megan McDonald and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds; Dyan Sheldon's Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen; Guess How Much I Love You; Martin Handford's Where's Waldo? books; Lucy Cousins' Maisy Mouse books, and National Book Award winner The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Volume 1: The Pox Party by M. T. Anderson.

Candlewick is home to Kate DiCamillo, having published her first novel, Because of Winn-Dixie (winner of a Newbery Honor), along with The Tiger Rising (a National Book Award Finalist), The Tale of Despereaux (winner of the Newbery Medal), her "Mercy Watson" picture book series, and her most recent book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (winner of the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for fiction).

Walker Books is headquartered in London, England, with additional offices in Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand^{[citation needed]}.
