Candela is a town in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila. It is located at 100° 39' 43" West, 26° 50' 25" North, in the state's central region (Región Centro). There were 1,669 inhabitants in 2000.
Founded in 1690 by General Alonso de Leon as a mission called San Bernardino de la Candela.
