Candace Michelle Brown (born November 21, 1968) was born and reared in Calhoun, Georgia. Candace began a modeling career in her high school years and was featured in a broad array of advertisements and publications.
While a student at Auburn University, she entered and won the 1992 Miss Alabama USA title. She competed for the title of Miss USA in Wichita, Kansas in February of 1992 where she won the swimsuit competition and finished as the first runner-up to Miss California USA, Shannon Marketic. [1][2] This was only the second time that Alabama had finished first runner-up and was the state's third highest placement overall.
After Miss USA, Candace completed a USO Goodwill tour with Miss California USA to United States military bases in the Far East, the first time such a trip had occurred. Candace went on to model with Hawaiian Tropic for several years before retiring.[3]
Today, Candace Brown Alexander lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and 2 children. She is an avid Auburn supporter and enjoys tennis, golf, and volunteer work.
