[edit] Riverview Corridor

Main article: Riverview Corridor

The Riverview Corridor was a Bus Rapid Transit corridor project running from Downtown Saint Paul Minnesota Union Depot to Mall of America by using some sections/portions of the Central Corridor and Hiawatha Line and running parallel in the center of West 7th Street. It was canceled due to the fact that low ridership would acrue. It would have been possible that this line could have connected both Hiawatha & University Central making a Transit way Triangle.

This corridor of the canceled projects had the most consideration.

[edit] Dan Patch Corridor

Main article: Dan Patch Corridor

The Dan Patch Corridor was a future Commuter Rail Line. It was to run from Minneapolis to Northfield along the tracks of the former Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway. It was initially identified as a Tier 1 corridor in the Minnesota Department of Transportation's 2000 Commuter Rail System Plan before being given a study ban during the 2002 Minnesota legislative session. [edit] McAndrews Corridor

The McAndrews Corridor was a future transit corridor in southern suburbs of the Twin Cities in Minnesota that would connect both Burnsville and Apple Valley to the Capitol of Minnesota, Downtown Saint Paul, the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Zoo and Downtown Minneapolis and will also connect various Park & Ride lots and as well as Transit Stations and Bus Terminals along the way by using the Central Corridor, Interstate 35E, and Interstate 94. The corridor is named for County Road 38 which is a primary east-west link from Burnsville to Apple Valley to Rosemount. Locally South of the River, CR-38 is known as McAndrews Road.

Possible plans were to add light rail in the mix, but, it was canceled because the Cedar Transitway is more favored then the McAndrews LRT.

[edit] Cedar/Galaxie Corridor

The Cedar/Galaxie Corridor was a proposed Light Rail extainsion for the Hiawatha Line South of the Metro Area between Mall of America and Apple Valley, it was canceled because it would cost a lot to order more LRT veticles, but a review of the area has been done, and Bus Rapid Transit was reinstated for the project instead.
