Canby Area Transit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Canby Area Transit or simply The CAT is a bus service that provides public transit in the US city of Canby, Oregon, and north to Oregon City. It is operated by the City of Canby, with a hub at the downtown Canby Transit Center.
The newest transit agency in the area, CAT began operations on August 20, 2002, when Canby withdrew from the TriMet service area. The system replaces the southern legs of two TriMet bus routes , as well as offering expanded service within the city of Canby. CAT offers six-day a week service and no fares are collected. Financing is supported by state and federal grants, as well as a city payroll tax.
