Canavaggia is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica. It shares the canton of Alto-di-Casaconi with Monte, Volpajola, Campile, Olmo, Prunelli-di-Casacconi, Campitello, Ortiporio, Lento, Bigorno, Scolca, Crocicchia and Penta-Acquatella.[1]

Ortiporio is in the west of the canton, 9 km (6 mi) from Campitello; its western boundary is fixed by Asco, its southern by Golo, just under 1245 m (4085 ft) Mont Quercitellu; it is the old chief place of the pieve de Caccia, absorbed into the canton of Campitello in 1874.
