Canal+ Sport 1 is the name of four Scandinavian sports channels owned by C More Entertainment. They launched as the pan-Nordic Canal+ Sport on May 1, 2004 when C More introduced themed channels for movies and sports. On September 1, 2005, most sports broadcasts were moved to Canal+ Sport and separate versions of the channel were made for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. With the launch of a second sports channel, the first channels got their current name.
