Canadian Residential Inspection Services is a home inspection company that was established in 1988 to address the inspection needs of the real estate marketplace. The firm provides an objective professional pre-purchase home inspection as an unbiased third party. It’s a visual inspection of the property that includes items such as surface grading and drainage, roofing, insulation, ventilation, chimneys, exterior siding, windows and doors, structural integrity, foundation, electrical and plumbing. Because the inspectors do not benefit from home sales or repairs or recommended services, consumers receive true, arms-length performance.
Canadian Residential Inspection Services, Ltd. is a solely Canadian-owned company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Part of the firm’s success has been in its development of professional standards and rigorous training. Canadian Residential Inspection Services provides its inspectors with exclusive training. The training focuses on in-depth knowledge of residential construction techniques, defect recognition and report writing.
After 13 years of success in the home inspection industry, Canadian Residential Inspection Services began opening franchises in 2001 and as of August, 2007 there were 28 franchises across Canada.
