The Canadian Aviation Expo (CAE) is Canada’s largest aviation event, combining a three day tradeshow with a fly-in. Until 2006 it included an airshow, but this has been discontinued for 2007. The Expo is held annually at the end of June at the Oshawa Airport in Ontario. The event attracts about 20,000 visitors per year.

[edit] History

The event started as the Toronto Sport Aircraft Expo in 1992 and was held in a downtown Toronto convention centre. Later it was renamed the Toronto Aviation and Aircraft Show and was moved to the Air Canada hangar at Toronto Pearson International Airport and later to Downsview Airport in north Toronto. The move to its current location was made in 2002 and the name was changed to Canadian Aviation Expo at the same time.

[edit] Management

Principals in the operation of the show since 2002 have been Stephen Wilcox and Steve Nichols.

[edit] Sponsors

A major supporter of this event is the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association who held their annual convention in conjunction with the CAE in both 2003 and 2006.
