"Can You Keep A Secret?" was Utada Hikaru's 7th Japanese-language single (9th overall) released on February 16, 2001. It was the theme song for a Japanese television drama called Hero, Utada made a cameo appearance as well as her acting debut in this drama as a waitress. "Can You Keep A Secret?" debuted at #1 on the Oricon charts, selling 783,620 in its first week, and was her third single to be #1 for two consecutive weeks. The single has sold 1,485,000 to date. It is her last single to sell over million copies. This single became the #1 single of 2001 in Japan. In the World Charts, Can You Keep a Secret reached #37 for single airplay and #9 for sales. The most recent figures (May 26, 2006) show that the single sold 1,484,940 units in total[1]. This also remains to be one of Utada's fan favorites, many fans over the Internet expressing their fondness for the song.


The music video for this song included a robot, whom Hikki appeared to be in a relationship with.
