[edit] Season One

The eight finalist duos for season one are:[2]

Status Duo Place in competition/reason for elimination
Caitlin Lynn and William Snyder Winner
Eliminated Nick Brownell and Jeremiah Richey Runner Up; no reason was given by judges.
Eliminated Rory Feek and Joey Martin Feek 3rd; not quite as good as prior weeks, not best perfromance.
Eliminated Kasey Coppola and Kate Coppola 4th; believed that other duos would sell more albums than them.
Eliminated Jared Johnson and David Oakleaf 5th; not sounding as good as they look and that they sound better as solo artists.
Eliminated Ruth Collins and Victoria Gibson (aka "Wild Honey") 6th; young; did not give their best performance.
Eliminated Chris Cline and Nathan Herron 7th; neither played an instrument and both sounded too Karaoke.
Eliminated Lewis Brice and Gabriel Jordan 8th; Gabriel sounded more of a lead singer and LB was not strong enough in his performance.
