It features rapping from Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. Its lyrics deal with a glorified mafioso lifestyle. A remix can be found on Raekwon's popular debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.... It features a music video with images similar to the song's content and a cameo by MC Eiht. Although it as not as popular as its predecessor C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me), Can It Be All So Simple has been deemed a classic by most Wu-Tang fans. In this single, Raekwon and Ghostface discuss the hardships of growing up in New York City during the 80's, and how they want to live a lavish and famous lifestyle to escape the hardships of life. Raekwon delievers a verse which has been considered by many die-hard Wu-Tang fans to be his best and most heartfelt verse on Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) (With the exception of his verse on C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me)). Ghostface also delievers a verse which is arguably his most sentimental verse, and is considered by many to be one of the best, if not the best, verse Ghostface has ever written.
