Can't Get It Back was the second single from Mis-Teeq's second album, Eye Candy. The song peaked at #8 and became the goup's seventh and final top 10 hit in the UK.
[edit] Song information
Originally the single was scheduled to be released by American R&B trio Blaque who recorded a video for the song. However, the video failed to be released due to unknown circumstances. Not long after, then group's 2002 album "Blaque Out" got shelved and the record remained unreleased for a while. One year later in their stead Mis-Teeq re-recorded the song for their second album, including a modified introduction and a re-written bridge, rapped by member Alesha.
When it came to "Scandalous"'s follow-up in summer 2003, the group and Telstar Records decided to use a remixed version of "Can't Get It Back" as the official single version and instead the "Ignorants Radio Edit" was included in the video.
