[edit] License tagging for Image:JIM BAILEY 3gals 1.10.48.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JIM BAILEY 3gals 1.10.48.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:07, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Prince charles and jim bailey royal variety.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Prince charles and jim bailey royal .jpg. The copy called Image:Prince charles and jim bailey royal .jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:CARNEGIE HALL ALBUMN COVER.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:CARNEGIE HALL ALBUMN COVER.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:22, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spam in Image:JIM BAILEY WIKIPEDIA.pdf

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:JIM BAILEY WIKIPEDIA.pdf, by The Evil Spartan (talk ยท contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:JIM BAILEY WIKIPEDIA.pdf is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:JIM BAILEY WIKIPEDIA.pdf, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:JIM BAILEY WIKIPEDIA.pdf itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:06, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Incorrectly placed question

I have removed your question at RFF, because that project page is for requests for feedback about specific articles. If you are a new editor, most questions should be directed to NCH or in-depth requests for assistance can be made at EA. If I have understood your question correctly, you were asking how long it takes for WP's search database to update with new entries: this typically takes at least a few days, and occasionally longer. The external links section is intended to be for relevant and informational links, not for promotional links of any kind. I've linked to the Myspace that you listed, but I removed the YouTube collection. Also, I would like to suggest again to both you and User:Williamkieffert to please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. GlassCobra 23:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Please also note that the request for references, both the banner at the top and various "citation needed" tags, shouldn't be summarily removed without actually adding references. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 15:31, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
