[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jeezy.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeezy.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Spring Thomas

A tag has been placed on Spring Thomas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Spring Thomas is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Spring Thomas. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. -- Merope 17:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -- Merope 17:35, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright problems with Image:Too-$hort.jpg

An image that you uploaded, Image:Too-$hort.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

The same goes for Image:Pharrell-W.jpg, Image:Pharrell Chad.jpg and most likely also Image:Eazy-E G.jpg Garion96 (talk) 23:30, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Singles

Hi there. I'd like to ask you not to create categories that follow the convention "(Artist name) singles." We just went through a long process to replace all those with "(Artist name) songs," which everyone got behind. So categories like category:Rick Ross singles just make people cranky. Cool?--Mike Selinker 23:01, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry, the page history fooled me. Never mind.--Mike Selinker 00:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pharrell Trivia

Hello, it has come to my attention that you have been editing the Trivia section (and more) of the Pharrell article, and reverting some of my edits. Some of the stuff that you have put there i feel is not appropriate for that section, or is simply incorrect.

  1. The information about Pharrells family belongs in the biography section
  2. the Trivia section should not feature anything that is already in the main body of the article, or already in the trivia setcion elsewhere
  3. information in the trivia section should be cited.
  4. The information should be significant; it should be kept as brief as possible, featuring only those most interesting or unique elements.

I believe the trivia section (and most of the article) should currently be as it was in this version. If there is any trivia in the current version that isn't in the linked version which you believe, considering the above points, should remain in the article, please argue it on this page, or my talk page, or the articles talk page.

You also keep changing in the intro from refering to 'Drop it like its hot' to "As of 2004 (first publicly in the song Frontin' feat. Jay-Z) he has referred to his rapping persona as Skateboard P."

This is just wrong, yes, Frontin' was his first single, but
  1. he sang during the entire song and did no rapping whatsoever
  2. he never said the words 'Skateboard P' at all in the song.
  3. The first time he has ever said the name 'Skateboard P' is in the song "Drop It Like It's Hot", as the artcile stated correctly before your edits!!
  4. the song Frontin' was not even released in 2004, it was in 2003!

You have also removed the image, and the {{fact}} tags from the Chad Hugo article. This is considered WP:Vandalism, Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

If you have a valid reason for removing such things, explain it in your edit summary or on the relevant Talk page. The '{{fact}}' tags serve the purpose of highlighting areas which need citations, as proof that they are factual. If you find your edits being reverted serveral times, question it on the article's talk page, or on the user's talk page who reverted it! Even if other users re-add the information which you (incorrectly) did originally; please remove such information if you see it to keep Wikipedia useful ~ Bungalowbill 15:00, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] N Da Paint

A tag has been placed on N Da Paint, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Elomis 04:41, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Theater of the Mind

If all you have is a rumor, and there are no other details available, then there's not enough for an article. Fan-1967 15:53, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

It makes more sense to keep it as a redirect, and discuss upcoming projects directly in the Ludacris article. Since nothing's been officially announced, the article fails our Verifiability standards. Fan-1967 15:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:P.Williams.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:P.Williams.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Timbaland & Danja

Regarding Timbaland & Danja: Timbaland and Danja are not a production duo. They have produced songs together, but they aren't a duo in the same way, for example, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are. Timbaland produces stuff on his own, as does Danja, and Danja is Timbaland's protégé. Please remember to make sure the information you add to Wikipedia is correct. Extraordinary Machine 15:29, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

The point I'm making is that though they do produce together very frequently (mostly in the last year or so), they are not an "official" production duo in the way The Neptunes are. Missy Elliott and Timbaland have also co-produced many songs together, but that doesn't make them a duo. So I don't think there's much point having a separate article on the relationship and collaborations between two producers who happen to work together a lot. [edit] AfD nomination of Nubian Nut

Nubian Nut, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Nubian Nut satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nubian Nut and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Nubian Nut during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz (Talk | contribs) 23:22, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Young, Fly & Flashy, Vol. 2

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Young, Fly & Flashy, Vol. 2, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Young, Fly & Flashy, Vol. 2. [edit] Regarding edits to It's All on U Vol. 1

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Cameron Green! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule photobucket\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links guidelines for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:D27068i2d7a.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:D27068i2d7a.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:28, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] B.G. (rapper) vandalism

What's up with you deleting B.G.'s biography??? Make a new one if u don't mind. I worked hard on that article. & I don't appreciate u deleting my shit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cameron Green (talkcontribs) 01:48, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Please don't make accusations (especially when incorrect) without evidence.

B.G. (rapper) was vandalised by anonymous User:71.63.42.58 here. This user could have some connection with Spotswood High School (Virginia)‎ and Turner Ashby High School given the number of vandalism edits done on those pages.
This vandalism was then deleted by anonymous user:68.79.119.0 here (It should have been reverted by using "undo").

I have reverted the "Biography" section back to the way it was before those changes here.
If you have questions about the above, please ask here or on my talk page.
Regards, JohnI (talk) 20:12, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Teen of Crunk

A tag has been placed on Teen of Crunk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Speedy deletion of Teen of Crunk

A tag has been placed on Teen of Crunk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
