Hey Cameron, thanks for standing up for me. I wouldn't mind Scotland using country, if England, Wales and Northern Ireland used it too. It's consistancy across those 4 articles, that I prefer. Oh well, at least the maps are in sync. GoodDay (talk) 17:23, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Statustop template: alternate updating method

SoxBot V has been taken offline indefinitely, therefore {{Statustop}} now uses a semi-manual updating method taking the status from Special:Mypage/Status. You can use the Qui monobook script written by TheDJ to update this page at the click of a button.

Certain parameters are no longer used, so you may wish to check the documentation of the Statustop template to ensure you are using it properly. hey cameron. your status thingee is broken because StatusBot was "pwnd" by the dev/sysadmin team (taken offline permanently). If you're using FireFox, Safari, or Opera, you can use "Qui" (a program that you install in your monobook, like Twinkle or similar scripts, to semi-automatically update your status.

Alternatively, you could go the manual route and just change the text in Special:Mypage/Status to "offline" "online" or "busy" as necessary. Lastly, if Qui won't suit your needs, and you don't want to do it manually, you can use a method devised by Hersfold here: User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate.

Heh, thanks! :D And you're right, the Queen has four royal residences in the UK: Windsor, Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace in England and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland. She's leaves Wales out. :( I'm not sure then where she stays while she's visiting Wales; I can't find anything about her stays there. Well, for her Golden Jubilee she spent the night in her train! This suggests that she stays anywhere and everywhere, though she only visits Wales once every few years at most. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 17:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

The thing is, the royal residences are all old, and have been there for ages. When the King at the time designated the residences, he wanted one in each country he controlled (some have changed, which is why there's 2 in England) and Wales was - at that time - part of England, not a separate nation.
