CameoAppearance is known to the world under a name that I can assure you is neither CameoAppearance nor anything similar-sounding; she is a teenager hailing from the city of Vancouver.

Despite being born and raised in Canada, she neither has the stereotypical Canadian accent nor feels compelled to interject 'eh' after every sentence; her accent is much closer to General American, although her speech shares features with British, American, and (mainly in word choices) Australian English.

She first discovered Wikipedia at least a year ago; although she can't recall the date, she can tell you that the first article she read was on radiation poisoning. Or maybe it was nuclear winter. Something morbid that had to do with nukes, anyways.

Since then, her Wikipedianism has just kept climbing. She's spent most of her time here as a wikignome, fixing typos and grammar errors, etc, and sometimes adding little useful bits to articles, but only recently came to light as the creator of numerous new userboxen (every one of which is nice-looking, unlike some of the boxen she's seen). However, signs show that we may be about to see a new development: she's expressed an interest in more extensive revisions and expansions of articles.
