Talk:Camp Rising Sun

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So blatantly campcruft it's not even funny. I would nominate this for deletion or even give it a prod tag but as I've been accused in the past of showing too little patience, let me start with a NPOV tag. Pascal.Tesson 22:02, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why?

Camp Rising Sun is a great educational institution of which the world should be proud of. It is a non-profit institution that operates on a scholarship basis giving boys and girls from around the world often once in a lifetime opportunity to live and learn in a truly international and intellectual environment. As an alumnus of CRS I am offended by marking this entry as advertising. Maciej Golubiewski CRS'91 C'99

[edit] Please Reevaluate

I would urge critics of this page to research the organization and its merits before labeling it as biased. One would find that there is very little in the camp experience that deviates from the text of this article. A greater understanding of the organization would benefit all Wikipedia users. [edit] What about other camps called 'Camp Rising Sun'?

There are numerous other camps with the name Camp Rising Sun, should this lead to a disambiguation page? A Google search shows many camps called this, even leaving out the Christian 'Camp Rising Son' camps. Mattgrommes 20:15, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyrighted text removed

I've deleted a big chunk of text that was pasted in from the camp's brochure. The reason the article sounded like an ad was that... well, most of it was pasted directly in from an ad. :-) Sounds to me like there's lots more to tell about this camp, but please write it in your own words, as Wikipedia can't accept copyrighted text without permission from the author: see WP:COPYVIO for more info.
