[edit] Commons Project : OS NPE
I User:ShakespeareFan00 propose that, as a collobrative effort, commons contributors seek to undertake the scanning and archival of Ordnance Survey mapping (prior to 1950) which exists in physical form, with a view to eventually providing a 'free' historical equvilant to projects such as OpenStreetMap and npemaps.org.
A related project is the 'tracing' of OS Data already in Commons/WMF projects to SVG, or GPX data form.
Anyone else interested? ShakespeareFan00 00:06, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
