Campus for Finance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Campus for Finance is an international finance related conference held at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar near Koblenz, Germany. The congress is organized every year by undergraduate students of the WHU in cooperation with the Dresdner Bank Chair of Finance of Prof. Dr. Markus Rudolf.
The conference, which is held every year in January and had its startoff in 2001, has the intention of bringing together selected students with respectable personalities from the business world as well as politicians and academics.
Central elements are speeches of scientists and corporate representatives, workshops, a panel discussion and a gala dinner as the final event of the conference.
Thanks to top-class orators (former speakers listed below) the Campus for Finance is, unlike other conferences organized by students, characterized by its emphasis on the scientific niveau and depth regarding its contents.
Participants of the past include personalities like Jean-Claude Trichet (President of the European Central Bank, ECB), Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Reinhard Selten (University of Bonn), Prof. Dr. Axel Weber (President of the German Federal Bank) and Hilmar Kopper (former CEO of Deutsche Bank AG).
