Campsea Ashe

Campsea Ashe (sometimes spelt Campsey Ash) is a village in Suffolk, England. It is located approximately five miles north east of Woodbridge and six miles south west of Saxmundham. The village is served by Wickham Market railway station on the Ipswich-Lowestoft East Suffolk Line. It also has a lovely B&B named the Old Rectory. John Rambler Barber, born 1788, was convicted of grand larceny and transported to Australia in 1814. His many descendants live in northern New South Wales around Port Macquarie and Kempsey.
