Campbell Soady Gallery
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 2001, New York City's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center opened the Campbell Soady Gallery, named in honor of major donors William Campbell and William Soady, who made a bequest to create an art gallery in the LGBT Community Center's National Museum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender History.
The mission of NYC's LGBT Community Center’s museum program is to provide space for artwork that celebrates the diversity of LGBT life and to support the work of emerging queer artists.
Since mounting its first exhibition in June 1989, the LGBT Community Center's museum presents numerous exhibitions each year.
