Camp Interlaken for girls operated in Croydon, New Hampshire, from 1923 to 1963. Interlaken was owned and operated by the Dudley family of Hanover, New Hampshire. The camp was known for its beautiful location and top notch equestrian programs. Famous alumni of the camp include actress Blythe Danner among others.
In 1963 the Dudleys sold their beloved camp to the YMCA in order to perpetuate youth camping in this beautiful location. Children and grandchildren of Interlaken campers attend camp at YMCA Camp Coniston to this day carrying on the fine tradition of excellence begun almost 100 years ago.
Prior to the YMCA moving to this site, it operated under the name Camp Soangetaha on nearby Rand's Pond.
After the Dudleys sold the camp in Croydon, it was relocated to Sharon (South Royalton), Vermont, where it existed into the 1970s.
