Camilo Nogueira Román

Camilo Nogueira Román was born on 22 November 1936 in Vigo (Spain) and Member of the European Parliament in the parliamentary term from 1999 to 2004. The political organisation that he represents, the Bloque Nacionalista Galego, was part of Democratic Party of the Peoples of Europe - European Free Alliance, DPPE-EFA which took part in the European Federation of Green Parties/European Free Alliance in the European Parliament.
Experience: Industrial Engineering (1964). Graduate in economics (1975). Engineer, Citroën Hispania, Vigo (1964-1972). Projects and Development Director, Society for the Industrial Development of Galicia (SODIGA) (1973-1987).
Member of the executive, UPG/ANPG (1970-1977). Member of the executive, PSG-EG (1977-1996). Currently the leader of Unidade Galega. Member of the executive, BNG (1996-1999).
Member of the municipal council of Vigo. Deputy in the Galician Regional Parliament.
Author of various publications on economics and politics in connection with the Galician Question. European deputy of the Bloque Nacionalista Galego, BNG (1999-2004)
