[edit] Pop Success

The group's name came from their nanny whom they called "Nanny Camila." Their first single, Abrázame became a major airplay success upon its release. The song was played in the radio stations before the group even chose a name for themselves. It would go on to reach the Mexican Top 10 and U.S. Latin Top 30, largely helped by its massive pop airplay.

In late 2006, the group was nominated for Best New Artist at the Premios Lo Nuestro. In December, they announced their nominee to Premios Lo Nuestro and won two out of the two they were nominated in.

The follow-up to their debut single would be Coleccionista de Canciones, which was used as the theme song for the Mexican telenovela Las Dos Caras de Ana, starring Ana Layevska. Radio airplay once again was key to its success and quickly helped the song reach the Mexican Top 3.

The third single, Todo Cambió was released in March 2007. The song quickly surpassed Abrázame to become the group's most important single yet. Todo Cambio succeeded in doing what its predecessor failed to achieve: reaching the top of the México Top 100 Single Charts. The song knocked Julieta Venegas' Eres para mi off the top spot holding its position for ten consecutive weeks, the year's second largest run by just one week. It also reached the U.S. Latin Top 15, the group's highest position ever, and has reached the Top 3 in Pop Airplay.

As of June 2007, the album is certified Platinum and Gold, and it has sold over 150,000 copies in Mexico alone.

The group is set to release Solo Para Ti as the fourth single in the U.S. and Mexico, where it has already peaked at 48.

Thanks to their participation in the Premios Juventud and the important success of the song Todo Cambió, Camila's album had reached number 4 in the U.S. Top Latin Albums.

On August 29, 2007, Mario Domm received a Latin Grammy nomination as a writer for the hit single "Todo Cambió" which is up for Song of the Year. This single ranked at number 18 on the Billboard Top 50 Latin songs of the year.[1] On

On Frebruary 21,2008 camila won 2 Premios LoNuestro For Song Of the Year for Todo Cambio, and Group or Duo of the year.

On March, 2008, Camila re-recorded Abrázame featuring Brazilian singer Wanessa Camargo. The song will be included in both the Brazilian edition of Todo Cambió and in Wanessa's Total album (originally released in 2007) re-release.

On April 10, 2008 camila won 2 Latin Billboard Awards Camila received 3 nominations out of those 3 they won 2 awards. Also Camila performed 2 songs "Todo Cambio" and at the end "Yo Quiero" at the end of the last song came out Puerto Rican reaggeton duo Alexis Y Fido to remix the song.
