The Cameri Theater, established over 60 years ago in Tel Aviv, Israel, is one of the most important and famous theaters in the country and is well known abroad as well. Identified with the nation’s conscience and mood, throughout the years its plays have exposed the thoughts, hopes, fears, anxieties, and conflicts of the diverse strata, which make up the mosaic of Israeli society. The theater is one of two venues located at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center.

The Theater stages seven to nine new productions a year, drawing an annual audience of more than 1,000,000. Throughout its 69 years of existence, the Cameri’s over 500 productions have attracted more than 20 million spectators, both in Israel and abroad.
