Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is a broker/dealer based in Fairfield, Iowa. Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., also known as The Fee Experts, is a leading independent Broker/Dealer specializing fee-based advisory solutions. Based in Fairfield, Iowa, Cambridge is a privately held company with over 1,000 Representatives nationwide. Cambridge is one of the fastest growing financial services firms in the United States1, due in part to its advisor-friendly focus and its open architecture business model.

Cambridge allows their Representatives to work with clients, through various entities, on a fee basis, commission basis, or an appropriate combination. The company strives to promote the highest ethical standard in the industry and firmly believes in “doing what is right” for the client.

Cambridge’s open architecture upholds its mission to support financial advisors in being “client-centric.” Open architecture means more choices and greater flexibility. In the pursuit of choice and objectivity for clients, Cambridge allows our Representatives to choose from a wide range of approved products, two clearing relationships (National Financial Services LLC and Pershing LLC), and the use of their own or the corporate Registered Investment Adviser to conduct financial planning or asset management business. Cambridge also supports its Representatives in conducting fee-based services through either of the clearing relationships mentioned or through several outside firms (such as Schwab, Fidelity, PAS, TD Ameritrade, Fiserv and others) thus providing ample flexibility and ultimately the best solutions for a diverse clientele.

Representatives associated with Cambridge work as independent contractors. The company supports them by offering a broad array of financial services and products, including: mutual funds, variable annuities and life products, REITs and Public LPs, asset management services, brokerage services, traditional insurance sales, college savings plans, trust services and is licensed to transact business in all fifty states.
