Cambridge Footlights Revue

The Cambridge Footlights Revue or "The Cellar Tapes" (1982) is a televised version of the revue show originally performed in 1981 by the Footlights - a group of comic writer-performers at the University of Cambridge. The revue won the first-ever Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1981.

It is a notable part of British television history because it includes early appearances by Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Emma Thompson, all of whom when on to greater fame in the film and television industry.
