Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies is a sixth form college located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, approximately 50 miles (80 km) north-northeast of London. CCSS is one of the UK's leading independent sixth-form colleges, specialising in A-level and GCSE courses for entry into the best British universities.

It is an educational charity, and is student-centred in all it does. Students work closely with staff in small classes (an average of five students), and individually in one-to-ones to get the best out of themselves and leave ready for university. CCSS is two-thirds residential, one-third day. The college is very close to Cambridge station and 30 minutes from Stanstead International airport.

The February 2008 Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection praised the high standard of teaching and outstanding pastoral care at the college. The full report can be read at www.isi.net.

Famous alumni include Jade Jagger, Rory Guinness, Daisy McAndrew (Chief ITN news correspondent), Toby Rowland (Clickmango founder) and Zac Goldsmith.
