[edit] Thanks!

Thanks for cleaning up Ihawal's vandalism on my user page. (I was busy cleaning up Ihawal's vandalism on Victorian era. The cleanup, unfortunately, didn't stick.)  — AnnaKucsma  Speak! 16:27, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

No problem, happy editing! --Caltas (talk) 16:29, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

No point in me doing the same, but keep up the great work. I've followed your WP:AIV reports all day, excellent stuff. The Rambling Man 20:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Many thanks for reverting my user page Stephenb (Talk) 12:38, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

No problem. --Caltas (talk) 12:39, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

I reverted it myself so don't bug me. Radical-Dreamer 13:31, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

No, you reverted me [1] --Caltas (talk) 13:33, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Apprantly I did although I ment to revert my own change. Maybe it's because you're so trigger-happy to warn people for vandalism. Radical-Dreamer 13:36, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks...

for that! --Rrburke(talk) 13:33, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

you're welcome :-) --Caltas (talk) 13:34, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Making a point...

Hi there. I was just making a point to my students on our High School page about why you shouldn't use Wikipedia for research. The comment was going to be removed within minutes. Looks like you jumped the gun on this one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.20.212.121 (talk) 14:57, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Quite the converse, I think Caltas nicely disproved your "point". The Rambling Man 15:15, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks and information...

Thanks for caring for the Tripoli, Iowa page. I can't believe you care; we're a small town. After all, where are you from?

FYI, the section on the page that lists famous people is bogus. Lucas Kaiser is a kid at the high school, probably one of the causes of stupid updates recently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arquero87 (talk • contribs) 05:05, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

I have to admit, that I read yesterday for the first time about Tripoli, Iowa ;-) (I'm living near Frankfurt in Germany). I was just watching the recent changes and saw the IP vandalizing the article. But thanks for the information about Lucas Kaiser, I will remove him from the list. --Caltas (talk) 12:47, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 204.124.28.168

Looks like this IP is User:VideogamerAJ‎; he or she has made a lot of edits to that userpage. Do you think a Checkuser is necessary? GlassCobra (Review) 13:25, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

The other IP that's edited the user page is User:204.124.30.106, which has committed some vandalism as well. This guy should probably be blocked. GlassCobra (Review) 13:26, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I don't think we need an Checkuser here, if the IPs continue to vandalize, I will report them to the WP:AIV so they get blocked. --Caltas (talk) 13:33, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
What about the username? GlassCobra (Review) 14:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I added the user to my watchlist, until now he has made no edits in the mainspace, but I will keep an eye on him and report him, if he starts vandalizing articles... --Caltas (talk) 15:16, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Don't block them you silly people! thats mean 86.10.194.199 23:22, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RfA

From having a quick look at your edits, have you considered a RfA? Tiddly-Tom 19:48, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for asking, but I don't think an RfA would be successful, because my English is not the best ;-) and the only thing I'm doing here is reverting vandalism (and additionally I was just on wikibreak for two months)... --Caltas (talk) 20:17, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I notice you have over 250 edits to AIV - Are most of these reports, and were most of them successful? (Did the user get a ban) I think that if you keep up you very high number of edits per month, you would stand a good chance. Give it two months and if you keep going as you are now, I would be happy to be a nominator :) Tiddly-Tom 20:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
P.S., I got the information about your edits from here. Tiddly-Tom 20:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I think almost all of the users I reported got blocked. And yes, I think it'd be better to wait two or three more months, but thanks again for asking :-) --Caltas (talk) 20:30, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Can you please revert to an edit prior to mine, as it appears I may have some problem here where by when I edit a page the images appear to be being replaced with undefined. Can you let me know if you are seeing the same thing. Gnangarra 14:16, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Orderinchaos has already fixed the images. --Caltas (talk) 14:30, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] hi caltas

hi you just gave me a warn for vandalisim on adobe photoshop i would like to explain my actions I uploaded some essay work i had been doing on adobe photoshop for my college how ever once i uploaded the article i realsied our college searches wiki with segments of our submitted work so i quickly removed it i will post it again once my grade is recived

many thanks on your understanding god bless you jimmy hobbs —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fuh que 2 (talkcontribs) 19:39, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I thought it was vandalism, because you mentioned no reason for the removal in the edit summary. --Caltas (talk) 19:49, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry I realy did not know what i was doing, got graded got a c going to post tonight shall i post here first so you can see? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fuh que 2 (talkcontribs) 07:10, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
I have to admit, that I don't know much about photoshop, so it might be better to write it directly in the article and wait what others say ;-)... But please remember give a reason in the edit summary the next time you remove a large section of text, because that helps to decide whether an edit is vandalsim or not. --Caltas (talk) 11:16, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not sure why what I added was considered vandalism

I just got a note, that I believe was from you, that my additions to Red Lodge Mountain Resort were reverted as "vandalism" I work at RLMR and was trying to add a bit more information about the mountain. Can you please explain to me what the problem was.

Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fobda75 (talk • contribs) 20:07, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I reverted you because this edit looked like vandalism to me (there are many vandals who add [[example.jpg]] to articles...). But looking again at the history of the page, I see now, that your other edits are not vandalism. Sorry for having reverted all your edits, I already restored your version. --Caltas (talk) 20:23, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks... I admit that I was starting to experiment with adding a picture to the page. I'll go to the sandbox and figure out how to do that before I mess around with the actual page anymore. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fobda75 (talk • contribs) 20:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

No problem ;-). I just found some pages that might help you: there is a tutorial and a help page especially for images: Wikipedia:Images. --Caltas (talk) 21:34, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accidental deletion from Polar Bear

Hi Caltas,

A few days ago, it seems that you accidentally deleted a large chunk of the polar bear article.[2] Are you using an old version of Firefox by any chance? It used to have a bug you should be aware of.--Yannick 05:58, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

That's weird, thanks for bringing it to my attention... I just checked some other reverts I recently made, but it seems to have only happend on the polar bear article. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.9, but I've uninstalled the google toolbar now and will controll my next reverts, to see if this happens again...--Caltas (talk) 21:52, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
