[edit] Spell check
Not by default, but I believe that there are javascript add-on's which do that. If you're interested, you could have a look at Wikipedia:Tools/Editing tools which has info on that sort of thing. -- I@n 07:10, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Welcome aboard by the way! (and sing out if you need any other help) -- I@n 07:17, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Prickly moses
It had been part of local folklore in the hills over the last couple of decades that where it thrived, that it was a dieback free area - good to see that someone has suggested it might even supress - it is very healthy near my new property here in the hills - that's reassuring! SatuSuro 08:49, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rottnest Island edits
SeanMack, thanks for your edits - but what exactly did you change? The diffs don't look different. Cheers. Callophylla 08:26, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- The edit I intended was to make the references smaller with a standard div style I've seen everywhere for references, remove a bit of whitespace and change a weblink to a ref. The first edit broke the references as I left an extra tag in there so the second one fixed that. You'll see I've marked both as minor edits. Many people don't show minor edits in their watchlist - so I saw no reason to alert anyone to the very minor change. There was no big change here as you detected. Welcome BTW, and good luck on WP. If I can help at all throw me a line. Cheers SeanMack 11:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian maritime history
Hi! thought you might be interested to know about this recent project start SatuSuro 01:47, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
In actual fact maritime history is a mess on the whole of wikipedia - subjugated and poorly written up. My personal motivation is that the whole prject is dedicated to the memory of Frank Broeze. I miss him! SatuSuro 04:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:WA
Hi, I note your WP:WA project user, box but you can add you name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Western Australia#Participants too if you wish. Hope to see some contributions on the SW soon. Regards, Fred 06:46, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Refs
I got the balingup ref from the state ref catalogue - its well worth a trawl in there if you havent used it for smaller stub like articles it helps keep them from getting tagged by busy body outsiders...if you can find a specific and good ref... SatuSuro 07:49, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- May not be the same thing he's referring to but [1] is the State Library's catalogue - I find it incredibly useful. Also [2] for State Records Office if it's government records, but it's not the easiest beast to navigate and is far from complete. Orderinchaos78 05:14, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- I second what he says here - http://henrietta.liswa.wa.gov.au/ is a mine of info if you are doing almost any location here in western australia - type the location name and you'll get the most intriguing refs.... SatuSuro 05:44, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] West Powerout
They do have a member of staff who keeps very detailed list and info on all outages - I once spoke to her a few years ago - but the PR people keep her under lock and key when it comes to anyone from outside of the organisation attempting to access her (or her successor) ... somehow they hadnt got all holes covered at that stage. When I lived in Yogyakarta - the power would go back within 1 hour always - when I lived in Darlington the whole of the hills sometimes would be out because of one small fault in gidgegannup.... The favourite response at that stage was that the business (note not a public service like it used to be when it was the sec) saw no point in spending money on lower density population areas (!) Enough, its getting hot siotting here at the keyboard! SatuSuro 09:57, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome back
Good to see your moniker on the system again - trust all is well - things happen in that sort of time SatuSuro 12:12, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
