Image Tagging Image:Monroe1.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Monroe1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 01:05, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Albertsons

I am in receipt of a complaint that you are consistently reverting all of one particular editor's changes to the Albertsons article. On review of the history I see that you always revert with the uninformative edit summary of "rv" and have not discussed this on the talk page of the article at all. Please do not revert other editor's good faith contributions with nondescript edit summaries, and make an effort to discuss your reasons for rejecting the content you are rejecting on the talk page. Thanks, Kelly Martin (talk) 05:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your cooperation regarding the edits for Albertsons and it's family of stores. It is very important that current and factual information is available to Wikipedia users. A suggestion for you. Consider establishing a wiki for Cerberus and its ownership of the divisions they are purchasing from Albertsons. Cerberus will acquire all County Line Liquor and Grocery Warehouse locations along with Albertsons, Max Foods and Super Saver in their respective regions.

cut-and-pasting

Hi Caldorwards. When you copy and paste content from one article into another, such as you did with 1991 Sacramento Hostage Crisis, please leave an edit summary indicating the source of the content. That way, all of the content's previous contributors are attributed (instead of just the cut-and-paster) and there is a continuous trail to follow in case the full history of the content needs to be examined. It's really a necessity dictated by the GFDL, but strangely, I can not seem to find a WP policy about it. Best regards. ×Meegs 17:19, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

WP:MOVE has more info. -SCEhardT 17:22, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Ah yes, splitting pages is mentioned parenthetically in WP:MOVE#Page histories. It probably deserves more prominence, since splits-without-attribution are quite a common mistake. Thanks SCEhardt. ×Meegs 17:38, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
I've changed the wording a bit - however since the page is on Meta I'm somewhat relunctant to make it too prominent since I don't know how it applies to other projects. -SCEhardT 18:45, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

I think we have done all we can do, I have posted to talk pages etc. I was wondering what you thought about protecting the List of Sponge Bob Square Pants episodes. It would only be semi protection as I can't stand reverting edits. ForestH2

Albertsons and Supervalu

-Caldorwards4- You are vandalizing my edits by removing correct and factual information! You have been warned once before by moderators of Wikipedia. I am encouraged by your helpfulness, but when you remove correct and factual information, you could be considered by some by removing such information for personal gain, such as the manipulation of the share price by posting false information.

Again, as in earlier posts the brands I have listed are now owned by Supervalu (as the sharholders have approved the transaction and all necessary government approvals have been received).

Furthermore, Supervalu does indeed retain ownership of Lazy Acres, Max Foods and Super Saver Foods in Southern California. In addition, your FALSE EDITS imply that Supervalu will own Albertsons in the western United States. This is so far from the truth, that I am requesting Wikipedia to begin an investigation of your removal of correct and factual information.

Just so you have it straight, Supervalu will own and operate Albertsons stores in the following states: Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah and Washington. In addition, Supervalu picks-up ownership of Albertsons stores in the following areas: Southern California, Southern Nevada, Elko, Nevada (even though it's in Northern Nevada, it's going to Supervalu), and Jackson and Rock Springs, Wyoming.

A big difference from what you keep falsely posting that Supervalu picks-up Albertsons in the "Western United States". That would mean northern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Northern Nevada (except Elko) which is so far from wrong.

Do you have knowledge that Supervalu has already sold Lazy Acres, Max Foods and Super Saver Foods in Southern California? If so, Supervalu senior executive management would like to speak with you!

Okay now that I came to senses to read this I belive you --Caldorwards4 01:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

caldorwards4

From your request regarding Lazy Acres, Max Foods and Super Saver, if you peruse the entire purchase transaction that was filed jointily by both Albertsons and Supervalu with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), you will discover which assets Supervalu is acquiring. 1) Supervalu is acquiring the former Albertsons Southern California Division which comprises the brands Albertsons, Max Foods and Super Saver Foods. 2) Lazy Acres was acquired by Albertsons in 2005 and has been placed under management supervision of Bristol Farms. However, the Lazy Acres name continues.

Your question as to "why" Lazy Acres, Max Foods and Super Saver Foods do not appear by "name" on the Supervalu home page or the page you linked to, my answer is that the stores mentioned have a small store count and for whatever reason, Supervalu chose not to list them.

Frustrating as it is that I have to continually edit my good faith postings from your false edits, did you notice from the link you hvae sent me that Supervalu refers to the name "Jewel"? You always remove the Jewel name from the Albertsons and Supervalu Wikipedia pages. Here's a link at Supervalu so you can see the Jewel brand name:

http://www.supervalu.com/sv-webapp/news/new_supervalu.jsp

Yes, there are Jewel-Osco stores and free-standing Jewel stores. Even though Jewel-Osco have "one" name, they are actually two separate stores with separate management, liquor and business license and union contract. This is a holdover from the first Jewel-Osco combo store opened in 1962. You as a consumer don't see any walls between the two. The "Osco" portion is not just a "pharmacy" as you attempt to portray in your discussion of Albertsons, but a retail store with several departments.

Yes, the free-standing stores have been sold to CVS/pharmacy. The Osco Drug stores that share a facility with Jewel Food Stores and have no wall between them are now owned by Supervalu.

Not trying to be hard on you, but Jewel and Jewel-Osco have a rich and storied history that has continued under the ownership of American Stores, Albertsons and Supervalu.

If you look at the Albertsons operations before the acquisition by Supervalu, many of the stores and divisions owe their parentage to the Jewel Companies, Inc.

Going forward, please be considerate when editing another users information. If you have FACTUAL evidence that it is truly incorrect, explain yourself as to why. Rampant and not thought out editing just because you may think you know the answer makes other Wikipedians upset.

I have noticed the anger from other Wikipedians from Sponge Bob Sqaure Pants. Furthermore your discussion pages have seemed to have been removed or "cleansed" by you so they no longer appear. Why hide them?

Again, your intent to update and change means well, but you need to review your edits before you post.

First of all I want to say I'm sorry I'm not listening to you. At first I thought you were making this all up, but then I did some looking up about what you posted and then I found out you were right . Also now I understand that Jewel and Jewel-Osco are treated as different stores. Now that I think that we are settling things up for who ever blocked me I think I deserve to be unblocked. --Caldorwards4 02:28, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Kelly Martin blocked you Caldorwards. I asked him about unblocking you from being banned, and then if he has to reblocking you, so your blocked for 24 hours or so, though I told him I would rather have you unblocked. ForestH2
caldorwards4, It's not up to me to block or unblock you. My feeling is that you are asking for redemption, but I'm not sure you really "get it" as you say you did on April 29, 2006. Shortly after you posted "I get it" on the Albertsons discussion page, you were up to your same tricks by inserting FALSE edits from what you had appeared to previously "got". Now, with your actions of the past week and the ever un-ending (rv) to my edits without explanation and adding false information about the complexities of the Albertsons transaction, it said to me one of two things....that you are attempting to post false and misleading information to manipulate the share price during the final trading days of Albertsons and the "quiet period" of Supervalu...or that you really don't have the inner knowledge of the complex and vast holdings of Albertson's Inc. My opinion is to have you blocked until you can demonstrate restraint in your edits through a very controlled and limited arena. As I peruse other retail Wikis where you have posted, I see that (to my knowledge) that much of the information you are posting is wrong or simply distorted. Yes, as ForestH2 states, you do post a great deal, but with posting a large quantity I feel that your editing resorts to wrong information. I would rather see great edits with CORRECT and FACTUAL information, vs. I think I know but not for sure information.

Unblocked

At this point, I do not believe that you were editing with the intent to manipulate public opinion of either Supervalu or Albertsons during the merger discussion. Your editing practices of late have been uncivil and you are definitely showing signs of attempting to "own" the Albertsons page. Please work harder at editing cooperatively, instead of competitively, with other editors, and remember that people who add things to an article which you don't know to be true might be more knowledgeable than yourself. Also, please try using talk pages to discuss changes you don't think are correct instead of reverting them without comment. Regards, Kelly Martin (talk) 18:27, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
