From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Holy Trinity Church is a church formerly located at Kissy Road, Freetown, Sierra Leone. It was built in 1877.[1] In 1894, it was said to have the largest and "most fashionable" congregation in Freetown, and its parson occupied a "position of commanding influence" in the colony".[2] By 1910, it was already being described as one of the most important churches in Freetown.[3] It was burnt down in 1999 during the Sierra Leone Civil War by forces of the Revolutionary United Front as they withdrew from the capital.[1]
