[edit] About me
My primary offline interests are in linguistics and mathematics; I started reading Wikipedia in 2005, and have really been actively editing since April 2006. My very first edit back in August 2005 was on Bunun people, an ethnic group of Taiwan; I added an external link to a news story. As of 2008 January 27, I've created or destubbed 205 articles; the ones I'm most proud of are Sakhalin Koreans and Mongolian Stock Exchange.
These days I'm writing Vietnam-related articles such as Islam in Vietnam, Peter Nguyen, Japanese language education in Vietnam, Vietnamese people in Japan, and Vietnamese people in Taiwan. My work for Wikipedia has been reprinted without credit in international newspapers such as:
- “Poet of Modern Times: Noon Meem Danish”, The Financial Daily (Pakistan): p. 12, 2008-03-02, <http://thefinancialdaily.com/Newsdetail/newsdetail.aspx?30085>. Retrieved on 5 March 2008 , which took several paragraphs verbatim from Noon Meem Danish and a few more from their competitor's article on the same topic; I'm not sure there's any original material in there
- Jung, Sung-ki (2008-03-03), “Independent Activist Jang In-hwan Honored”, Korea Times, <http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/special/special_view.asp?newsIdx=20010&categoryCode=178>. Retrieved on 22 March 2008 , in which twelve out of thirteen paragraphs came from our very own article on Jang In-hwan
