[edit] Callander's Stations (DD&CR & C&OR)

Some clarity is needed here. The Callander station that closed in 1965 (sometimes called Callander "Dreadnought" station after the nearby hotel) was entirely on C&OR metals. The original terminus station of the DD&CR was located further east - its site became the goods yard when the C&OR opened. Thus, the station referred to in this article was never the terminus of the DD&CR. The C&OR diverged from the DD&CR at "Callander & Oban Junction", a little to the east of the original station/goods yard. 84.65.35.156 14:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I suggest that a suitable explanation is added. The line to the east to correctly split off from the C&O article to reflect the two separate companies. The information you have given was not known to me at the time. Possibly a way forward is to create Callander (DD&CR) railway station to recognise that station. I am not sure how recognise the preceding station (Doune) as on the DD&CR on the disused railway info box. Stewart 14:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
