[edit] Using Quote from vendor site

Rsalomone (possibly associated with telecost.com) posted a definition of Call Accounting which is taken verbatim from this call accounting vendor's website. I believe copying text directly from another website is against wiki recommendations. But a bigger problems is that the definition itself is imprecise, and not up to encyclopedic standards. Furthermore, it's in poor taste to quote from a vendor site as it turns this wiki article into a poorly disguised advertisement for that vendor. Now, what will stop other vendors from doing the same to this article? That's the issue in my view, but I won't spend time reverting only to have it reverted back. Please don't use wiki as an advertising platform. Vincehk 22:14, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
