Talk:California chaparral and woodlands

[edit] Merge
I suggested a merge because the shrublands of california are practically exclusive in the article, "Chaparral" which is the term that refers pretty exclusively to the shrublands of California, . Having two seperate articles is redundant. Valley2city 04:21, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- This article is not about the scrubland, but about the chaparral AND woodlands of California, which is quite a bit more than the chaparral. The other article IS about the chaparral. KP Botany 19:11, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I also don't agree with a merge. Chaparral is a narrow topic. This article covers a much broader topic. -Will Beback 17:49, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Three in One
This article combined three different ecoregions defined in the World Wildlife Fund system [1]. As we expand it, we should develop it into three distinct articles. I've updated some incoming links from the nearctic mediterranean forests, woodlands and shrub template to still land here for now. --Justin 18:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
