[edit] Nickname

People call Cal State East Bay: Ebay

[edit] Mascot

As far as the taxobox on the top of the page is concerned the entry for "mascot" should be what the sports teams are called at the university, not the name of the character.Dspserpico 08:35, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

I think something should be said about the three new big construction projects that are currently taking place on the Hayward Campus. There is a new Business School, more dorms, and an expansion of the student union building under way that will be finished in the fall of '06. This si the first major addition to the campus in 30 years and will transform the school into less of a commuter school.

[edit] Todo

  • Update president's name to Mohammad Qayoumi
  • Number of master's degree programs is unclear (see CSU East Bay website)
  • President's name in right corner
  • reference needed for solar energy panel project
  • reference for assembly member Carlos Bee
  • reference needed for Alameda State College
  • reference for "Hayward Vampires"
  • reference for space suit on mascot
  • President list starts in 1959, but school opened in 1957 - who was president?

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CSU.PNG

Image:CSU.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:57, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reorganized History section

As an outside reader, I found it very distracting that the History section seemed to quickly devolve into a lengthy rant about the name change. Without coming down on whether or not the rant was justified, I thought it made sense to put it into its own subsection, with a little reordering at the same time. This meant that the section on community-or-lack-thereof needed to get its own compartment, too. Other than that, I've left the content alone, figuring there are more knowledgable people than I on the topic.--NapoliRoma 19:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tuition cost

Box needs tuition cost. Badagnani (talk) 22:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I'd have to disagree. {{Infobox University}} does not provide a section for tuition and since tuition information varies from major to major in different universities as well as changing annually, I do not believe that this information would be encyclopedic. I believe if a reader wishes to obtain tuition information on this university, he/she should go to the CSU Hayward/East Bay website instead. It is always better to not have information rather than providing users with outdated information. - Jameson L. Tai talkcontribs 22:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
