• Shouldn't this article be moved to either "Calder Highway" (since the highway component is longer than the freeway component), or at least something like "Calder Highway/Freeway"? Also, what about the sections pertaining to the Silver City Highway and, more recently, the Thomson Developmental Road in Queensland? Should they be a separate page each, or should this article be reference to Highway 79 in general? I have added Thomson Developmental Road to the article for now. MJK 15:18, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I wondering if the person who added the NR79 shield realises that it does no longer exist along the Tullamarine Freeway? --Sk-4 (talk) 22:14, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
