The design of Calder's statue illustrated here is copyrighted, and its use is claimed to be a fair use, as:

  1. it depicts an artwork that is permanently installed in a public place;
  2. it is of low resolution (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality)
  3. the photo is only being used for informational purposes.
  4. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows one of the most recognizable features of the building/plaza that is the subject of the article. JeremyA 17:25, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
--I took this photo and originally uploaded it to the Wikimedia Commons under the cc-by-sa-2.5 licence. However, as it depicts a copyrighted work, I deleted it and have now uploaded this low-resolution version because I believe that its use to illustrate this article may be considered fair use.
