Calyx, A Journal of Art & Literature

Calyx, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit publishing company dedicated to supporting contemporary women's writing and art. The collective vision of four women in Corvallis, Oregon,[1] Calyx has celebrated over 30 years of discovering emerging writers--including work by women of color, lesbian and bisexual women, young and old women. Established in 1976,[1] the Calyx Journal is a bi-annual publication. The collective began Calyx Books in 1986.
Authors who have been published by the company include Marge Piercy, Barbara Kingsolver, Ursula K. Le Guin, Julia Alvarez, and many others.[1]
