[edit] Personality And Traits
A former second lieutenant of the Space Alliance Army, 22 year-old Calvina Coulange was demoted to a lower rank, due to her uncooperative attitude in her line of duty. A quiet, somber woman, Calvina was once a cheerful, optimistic person, until past incidents changed her entire attitude.
[edit] History
During her career as a Space Alliance Army pilot, Calvina Coulange was known by all her peers as the genius White Lynx. After being demoted, she received a call from an Al-Van Lunks inviting her to join him in working for the mecha-producing Ashalley-Kreutzer Corporation, located on the moon. Calvina resigned her commission and relocated to the moon, serving the company as both a test pilot and instructor to other cadet pilots, one of them being Jua-Mu Dalby. It was at this time that she began a steady relationship with Al-Van.
One day, an unknown enemy would attack the facility, killing all its personnel, while erasing any data concerning the corporation and the projects being constructed by it. Calvina was the only survivor and this event would scar her conscience, believing that Al-Van had perished in the attack. Even though she had lost the will to live, Calvina was unable to bring herself to death and eventually be recruited by Nergal Corporation to be part of the crew of the battleship Nadesico, acting as a tactical advisor. She believed that years after her retirement caused her skills to deteriorate, thus making her new co-workers think that she has a phobia against cockpits.
During the Nadesico's escape from Earth to Mars, three mysterious girls named Katia Grineal, Festenia Muse, and Melua Melna Meia would arrive in range of the Nadesico, bringing along a prototype robot of unknown origin. Suddenly, the battleship was attacked by the Jovian Lizard forces. Forced to protect the Nadesico, Calvina, despite her doubts that she couldn't pilot effectively anymore, decides to pilot the mech, deploying with one of the three girls as her sub-pilot. Surprisingly, the robot's interface was similar to those she had used back at the Ashalley-Kreutzer's Corporation, and she adapted quickly to her old skills.
As the events of Super Robot Wars Judgement continued on, Calvina would meet up with Jua-Mu and Al-Van once more, now revealed as the Fury, the ones responsible for the massacre. Struck with depression over Jua-Mu and Al-Van's betrayal, Calvina would harbour an intense hatred for the Fury, using revenge as her motivation to fight them. Though she would mercilessly kill Jua-Mu and other high ranking Fury officers, she could not let go of her love for Al-Van, and spared his life, and later was devastated when she heard that he was killed, while in truth the information was fake. However, it eventually softened her vengeful attitude. Calvina would later on defeat the Fury Leader Gu-Landon Goetz and upon the destruction of Gu-Landon's Zui-Gadin, she saves Al-Van from his suicidal attack on the core of the Fury ship, the Gau-La Fury. Super Robot Wars Judgement would conclude with Calvina and Al-Van reconciling with one another, putting the painful past behind them.
[edit] Notes
If Calvina is selected by the player to pilot a super robot, she would receive a different set of Spirit Commands and pilot skills than she would, if she is selected to pilot a real robot.
